1. First, they are worried that organic foods are too expensive, and that making the switch to an organic diet would break the bank.

2. Second, they worry that switching to organic means embracing lifestyle changes that aren't in keeping with their own lives. But organic foods can usually be purchased cheaply, and buying organic doesn't mean you have to wear hemp and sandals and forego deodorant (although that is OK, too).

And when the time came for me to learn how to loose belly fat by choosing organic foods I also found three key reasons to do it:

1. Organic Means Natural

What does organic mean, anyway?

The USDA National Organic Program (NOP) defines organic as follows:

Organic food is produced by farmers who emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality for future generations. Organic meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products come from animals that are given no antibiotics or growth hormones.

Organic food is produced without using most conventional pesticides; fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge; bioengineering; or ionizing radiation.

Before a product can be labeled organic, a Government-approved certifier inspects the farm where the food is grown to make sure the farmer is following all the rules necessary to meet USDA organic standards. Companies that handle or process organic food before it gets to your local supermarket or restaurant must be certified, too.

Why is this important?

Well, all of these chemicals, additives and toxins are shown to have a profoundly negative effect on the human body. Some have been directly linked to chronic illnesses and disease.

Surveys show that fewer than 6% of Americans are meeting the requirements for nutrient-packed whole foods, continuing to eat greater quantities of highly processed, nutrient-poor foods with known health risks - the Standard American Diet. So even though your belly may be full and your appetite satisfied, you are not getting the raw materials you need to rebuild, repair and restore your body.

By opting for organic foods, you are making a choice to consume foods that do not have these chemicals and additives, a huge step forward on the road to improving your health and well being as in my case.

2. Organic Usually Costs the Same

Organic foods may seem expensive, until you compare the price per pound with their processed counterparts. Often, if you check the price per pound of something organic and natural, such as a bushel of apples, with a processed food like fruit snacks, you will be amazed at how much cheaper organic foods can be.

You can also check out the possibility of buying your fruits, veggies and meats from a co-op, which can make buying organic even less expensive.

Why does organic cost more?

The truth of the matter is that organic food doesn't always cost more.I know because when decide to look and learn on how to loose belly fat I found some items, such as coffee, cereal, bread, and even hamburger, may cost the same or even less than their conventional counterparts.

And, as the demand for organics continues to grow, the cost will continue to come down. When the cost is higher, consider these facts:

Organic farmers don’t receive federal subsidies like conventional farmers do. Therefore, the price of organic food reflects the true cost of growing.

The price of conventional food does not reflect the cost of environmental cleanups that we pay through our tax dollars.

Organic farming is more labor and management intensive. Organic farms are usually smaller than conventional farms and so do not benefit from the economies of scale that larger growers get.

If you are still concerned about cost, switch to all-natural meats and dairy, and then add in the dirty dozen fruits and veggies.

These are the varieties with the highest concentration of pesticide residues: celery, peaches, apples, nectarines, strawberries, blueberries, bell pepper, spinach, kale, cherries, potatoes, and grapes. Incorporate these changes as your budget can handle them.

3. Organic Can Mean Supporting Your Community.

Once you make the decision to go organic,I did because I needed to learn how to how to loose belly fat and you can actually support your community by seeking out local sources of products and meats.

Converting land to organic status is a three-year process. There is a two-year conversion process consisting of building up the fertility of the land. Produce grown in the first year cannot be stated as organic. In the second year produce may be stated as In Conversion.

It is not until the third year that produce may be stated as fully organic. Soil and natural fertility building are important parts of organic farming.
